The Hancock Flat 50 is a community bicycle ride and festival event held every August for cyclists of all skill levels to promote wellness and personal connections throughout Hancock County. Since the inaugural ride in 2016, numbers have nearly tripled in size. There are 50- and 25-mile routes, and the event is open to all.
Whether you are an experienced cycling enthusiast or looking for a more leisurely ride with friends, you’ll find that the party is just getting started when you finish your ride. The Hancock Flat 50 post-ride festival is full of live music, delicious food, and a chance to get to know your neighbors and enjoy the local community.
Proceeds from participants are used to enhance Hancock County Trails and encourage continued interest in cycling and healthy activities. Since its inception in 2016, the Flat 50 has donated over $28,000 to projects like extending trails and increasing signage for biker safety.
